Les cas de rougeole signalés ont augmenté de plus de 30% dans le monde de 2016 à 2017, a déclaré jeudi l'OMS. L'agence estime que la maladie était responsable de 110 000 décès l'année dernière.

 

Des augmentations des maladies évitables par la vaccination ont été observées dans les Amériques, en Méditerranée orientale et en Europe.

 

La couverture mondiale de la première dose de vaccin antirougeoleux est de 85%. L'OMS affirme qu'une couverture de 95% est nécessaire pour protéger une communauté. De plus, la couverture de la deuxième dose de vaccin est de 67%.
